New adventure 14.05.2024

Why precisely April 14th?” you may ask. Well, it’s because every May, in the quaint town of Biograd na Moru, a Slovenian weekend extravaganza unfolds. Many of my friends, including those from Koničan, gather there. It’ll take me about 14 days of walking to reach there, and then, one last time, we’ll revel together before my true adventure begins, before I head southward. And this time, my faithful companion, my furry friend, will be by my side every step of the way.

The planned route will take us from Slovenian Konjice through Croatia to Greece, then to Turkey, through Georgia and Iran to India. From there, we’ll fly to Vietnam, trek through Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, and Singapore before flying to Australia. From there, it’s another flight to southern Africa and then on foot all the way to Egypt. Then, we’ll fly to Lisbon and ‘just’ pass through Spain, France, and Italy back home. “Quite simple,” our interviewee laughs as he describes his plan to traverse 25,000 kilometers and 32 countries.
